Notes of Faith October 28, 2026

We have a dear friend (from Community Grace Brethren Church) whose mother just passed away and may be in need of immediate housing due to his current financial circumstances. Please be in prayer that we (Robin and Dale), might be able to help from Kentucky and fly to California if the Lord gives us wisdom and resources to help him, not only for current need but for long term planning to sustain the rest of his life.  If the Lord puts it on your heart to help in any way, you can contact me through email, messenger, call or text.  His immediate needs are to take care of his mother’s burial and also find a place to live.  We will update those who contact me and want to help with details that we hope to learn today.  Thank you.  Pastor Dale

As I Was, so I Will Be

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.

Joshua 1:5

When we are very young, doing something for the first time can seem scary: attending a new school or jumping off a high diving board. What makes it easier is for someone we trust to say, “I’ll be with you!” The same is true when we are adults: getting married or starting a new job.

When Joshua was starting a new “job,” he had every reason to be nervous—his job was leading an entire nation of people into their new homeland and getting them settled. But God reminded him, “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you.” Joshua had been Moses’ “assistant” during the nation’s wilderness wandering and had seen how God had directed and provided for Moses. Knowing God would do the same for him gave him every reason to be “strong and courageous” (Joshua 1:6, 9, NIV).

We start something new with God each day. Remembering that He has been with us in all our yesterdays gives us strength and courage about our tomorrows.

Heb 13:5-8

He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU," 6 so that we confidently say,

"THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID.

WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?"

7 Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Matt 6:33-34

seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

The Lord Jesus said, “Each day has enough trouble of its own.”  We do not know what the day holds but we know WHO holds the day!  He promises to be with us in and through everything that comes our way.  May we grow in faith, trust, and allow the Spirit of God to work through us living to glorify God in all things.
