Notes of Faith October 16, 2021
Robin and I were blessed with seeing and having dinner at the new Melnick home in Rockwall, Texas yesterday. Preparing for the Bryant memorial service this morning and forgot to send a notes of faith earlier. Here it is….
Olivier Melnick
Romans 7:14
For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.
• Paul was struggling with the flesh just like anyone of us would. He would find himself doing what he knew he shouldn’t and not doing what he should. We need to remember that while we are forgiven, our flesh is still very much part of who we are for the time being. The Holly Spirit is always here to guide us, but that’s it, because we still have a choice to make. Do we listen and yield or do we ignore and quench. He guides and convicts us, but He will not force us.
May God bless all of you richly. Seek righteousness especially when the struggle with the flesh is hard.
That which I would not, that do I do. I wish I wouldn’t do it but I’m already through!
UGH! Keep pursuing righteousness and holiness in the power of the Holy Spirit!
